With so many people with this surname in Anderson, it has been almost impossible to find out which ones belong to me. I am looking for ancestors and descendants of Beverly COX, who was born there about 1793. He was married first to Celia JOHNSTON/JOHNSON and had six children. After her death he married Sarah Ann MARTIN, and they had three children. Beverly served in the War of 1812, and I have his complete file. What I most want to know is Who were the children of the first marriage? Any leads or help will be greatly appreciated. Martha Boggs

Dear Martha, Obviously I don't know your family of Cox. However there is a mention of a Beverly Cox connected to a William Cox (plus numerous Cox families) in Pauline Young's Abstracts of Old 96th and Abbeville District Will and Bonds.
