I do believe that William was married before Elizabeth and had his first few children with his first wife Unknown! I found this in a 1860 census in Alabama but by the 1880 William C. McMurrey moved out and married my great grandmother Lucy Ann Kelly born about 1856. I know that William and Elizabeth....William and his family where from N.C.? William and Elizabeth was my great grandfathers parents... William C. McMurrey who married Lucy Ann Kelly. They had several children: George, Lee, Ida, Lou Della, Donia, Mark, Grover, William, Fannie, Zuma, and Hoyt all born in Sand Rock Alabama!
