I have found records of Eli, Roland, Harkwell, and Thorn HONEYCUTT. Living near them were families named ELROD, JOLLY and TIMMS.
There are numerous Hunnicutt's in old Pendleton District. I'm not a researcher of the Hunnicutt family but the earliest one I know about is Randolph Hunnicutt who owned land in the 23 Mile Section of Lebanon Community in now Anderson Co., SC. This land was located east of old Dixon Bridge and part of it is on what is known now as Harper's Road. It was bought from him by one of my descendants John Perry Major. I'm a native of that area and worked with Harold Hunnicutt and went to school with a Bill Hunnicutt. One of my Smith descendants, Flora Smith, married Ethridge Hunnicutt. If you do a Yahoo People Search and look around the Pendleton area I know of at least one William Hunnicutt that is still living there. A lot of people are kin to the Jolly family as are my Smith, Kay and Mounce Families. However I only know about Manse Jolly from the book on him and some of his kin I worked with an played baseball with, Lawrence Henry Jolly and John Louie Jolly. John Louie Jolly's wife is still living and lives in the town of Pendleton. She is a former school teacher but I don't know what she knows about the family. Probably a good source for your research would be to go to the Anderson Co., Library in the City of Anderson and to visit the Pendleton Historical Commission on the square in Pendleton. Both places have excellent histories of local families that are continually added to. God Bless.
