In the 1870 census for Anderson,SC he is listed as Jas Conaway. I need information about his wife, Mary A. She was married to a Chapman before him and had 3 sons, William, Preston Buregard, and James. By Jeremiah she had Pinkney, Corinthy, and Mary R. I do not know Mary A.'s maiden name before she was a Chapman, or her Chapman husbands name. Any help would be greatly appreciated; I am stuck!
