I think that the Co. should be Creek. Hencoop Creek runs off of Rocky River in the Martin District according to the 1877 map of Anderson County. Rocky River was the boundary between Hall District and Martin District. I see where a J. Hanks owned land on Hencoop Creek right before it becomes (or rather these two creeks become Hencoop) Cherokee Creek and what looks like Cook Creek. To repeat myself: Hencoop Creek is in the Martin District; Rocky River is the boundary between Hall and Martin Districts. Hope this helps. A. Deason Smith SC
