I am trying to determine if my great grandfather was one of the children of John and Sarah Cox. All our records indicate that his name was Rial Cox; however, some in the family believe he was Azariah (or Azarial). Even if this is the case we still have a problem because John Cox, in his will, list all his hiers as "son" or "daughter" except Azariah to whom he simply states "next I give to Azariah Cox sixty dollars when he arrives at twenty one years of age." My concern is two fold: 1. Is Azariah (or Azarial) the same as Rial Cox, and 2. if so, why is he not listed in John Cox's will as a "son"? If you have any ideas on this they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mac
