Specifically Robert B McClure DOB Oct 1824 in SC (Mothers name was Nancy born in VA) and William Robert McClure DOB 13 May 1852 in Cherokee Co, GA. Both are buried at Bascomb Methodist Cemetery -near Woodstock Ga along with their spouses. I have reached a dead end in trying to find the Father and the birth location of Robert B McClure in SC. He had a brother James Jackson McClure DOB1814/1815. Believed to have sisters of Jane and Sarah or Sally. I believe they came from the old Pendleton District of SC but can not confirm. Any help or leads or advice would be appreciated.

Surnames: STONE Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hcB.2ACE/2579.2.1 Message Board Post: Shelby, Sorry I took so long to answer. Still getting over the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and am backed up in my mail. I can't identify the "W. Stone" shown in Donalds Twp. on the 1870 census. In looking at the census, I might tend to think this is William, son of Micajah Banister Stone. But, in looking at the family group in Donalds, I tend to believe they are all kin, and that this "W" is a brother to "G.G". Even that tends to fit with known data regarding two sons of Micajah Banister, except that his son George died in Anderson Co. in 1865. So I have to say that this family could indeed be kin to my own line, but I cannot see anything in my data or these census lists that would confirm it. Steve
