Fenton H. Hall. I too, have seen the Hall family book that states this Hall family is decended from Lyman Hall. I looked up Lyman Hall's bio on internet, he had one son named John, who never had children. Good luck.

Hoping one of you all on the list can assist me with this. I am attempting to obtain a copy of my grandfather's death certificate--his place of death was Anderson. The DHEC wants his parents' names to obtain the cert---the reason I am wanting his cert is to find out his parents' names! Will they search for the cert without this information? Or is there another way to look up his death cert to find parents' info ? He died in 1959. Thank you for any help! Sally in VA

Seems like my mother told me that a Carter cousin told her Fenton Hall was related to Lyman Hall of Georgia who signed the Declaration of Independence. Fenton and Mary were living next door to some Carters in the 1880 census in Pulaski, Oconee Co, SC. Mary Victoriene Hall b.1850 d.1924 apparently married David F. Carter and they were living next door to Fenton Houston Hall and Mary Price Hall in 1880. I am not sure the exact connection between Fenton H. and Lyman Hall. I also am not sure, but think that Mary V Hall was Fenton H Hall and Mary Price Hall's granddaughter through their son Pennuel J. Hall and wife Etter. You should check these things out, but this is what I remember being told (and my memory is not wonderful sometimes) and have found at Damascus Church. Fenton's wife is listed as Polly in the cemetery.
Those who are planning your 2006 microfilm transcription projects will need to note a MAJOR increase in microfilm rental costs from the LDS Family History Library on Jan. 15th. The first rental (approximately 30 days) will be around $5.75 -- depending on handling fees charged by your local library -- with extensions costing $5.50, again depending on fees charged by your local library. That means a film borrowed on indefinite loan will cost about double its current cost. Therefore -- get to your local LDS Family History Center and order up your films now!

NESBIT BURRISS [Jennie Frohm] of Anderson, SC in 1926. In the book OLD SOUTHERN BIBLE RECORDS the compiler says [also] that this Bible belonged to Mrs. Nesbit Burriss of Anderson, SC and was copied by Leonard Andrea of Columbia, SC who sent it to the compiler in 1941. Oddly enough the only difference in the two transcriptions of the record of William's children is the birth day of his son Robert ... THREADS OF ANCESTORS shows it [correctly] as Dec 10, 1805 and OLD SOUTHERN BIBLE RECORDS shows it as Dec 5, 1805 which is probably a typo. Does anyone know if this Bible still exists and who the current owner is?

Kim, I can always count on you to find good info on our Anderson kuzzins. Thanks so much for letting us know where Jesse W. Norris is buried. Does the tombstone say that he is not married or did you find that info somewhere else? And where? Can you send more info on this Norris family? I have some info on Ebenezer Fowler descendants but haven't found anything on his ancestors even though I am sure he connects to my Fowlers somewhere. See my website at bottom of this mail for all my Fowler family info. My Fowlers still live here in Anderson, SC area but didn't come to Anderson till after 1900 to work in the mills. So far I haven't done much research on this Jesse W. Norris but we sort of assumed that he was the father of Mary Norris Fowler, wife of Ebenezer Fowler. Reasoning for this below: Mary Fowler's maiden name was Norris and He lived next door to Ebenezer and Mary Norris Fowler and They named a son Jesse W. Norris Fowler. Of course this is nor proof that this Jesse W. Norris is the father of Mary Norris Fowler but it is sure lots of good evidence, don't you think? Maybe someone else has some more info to help? How bout it Anderson SC researchers?
