I have William Hamilton born in 1809 from South Carolina not sure where though. I know he was living in 1850 Limestone Co.Ala. until he died in Sept 1872. William married Catherine Stephenson and they has 9 children. I know William also lived in Tn. from 1832 to 1840 . hope this helps.

Both of these families came from Pendleton Dist., SC. Sara was the dau of Cyrus Earl Hamilton and Elizabeth McWhorter, and William was the son of Uriah William Payne and Cordelia Lee Wood. If this is your family, please let me know. I have not been able to determine parents of Cyrus Earl Hamilton. Gayle Shaw
