Pardon me for jumping in here. Would you possibly be searching for the name Keasler? The reason I ask is I spent about a year searching Oconee for the name Keesley or a variation and was able to find it was Keasler. What first names or info do you have? Will be happy to see if I have any matches. > > From: francesjohns@bellsouth.net > Date: 2006/04/20 Thu PM 10:16:27 EDT > To: SCANDERS-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: [SCAnderson] Re: Keys-Keese > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: Keys/Keese > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/hcB.2ACE/2541.1 > > Message Board Post: > > I am still looking for families of Keys/Keese in and around Anderson County and Oconee County in S. If anyone has a photograph of Henry Clay Leverett they would be willing to share ... please let me know. My great grandfather Henry Clay Leverett (b April 29, 1843 Perry Co AL and d caAugust 9, 1886 Perry Co AL ) is of Marion, Perry County, Alabama. He is NOT the Henry Clay Liverett son of Robert F. Liverett (b SC d TX) of Texas. My Henry Clay served in the Civil War and Henry Clay the son of Robert F. did not. Anyone interested in the information I have to prove these men are not the same, let me know by sending an email to me privately at ctucker@dbtech.net Thank you ! Charlotte

Mr Harris, I am not sure what you are looking for, but did find your William W. Harris and wife Lizzie on US Federal Censuses for 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 with many children listed. From the 1900 Censuses it shows that William and Lizzie must have been married about 1895 as they had been married for 5 years according to the Census and he was a farmer through all the Censuses. There is also reference on an 1880 Census and of course the South Carolina Death Index. If you need look ups, I would be happy to let you know what is there. On the SC Death Index there are also several Lizzie Harris's but only 3 from Anderson with two having died in 1930 and one in 1928 but I don t think the 1928 would be her. Hope this helps you. Gayle, I have your Uriah William Payne and Cordelia on my website at the bottom of this mail. They went to Franklin Co. GA before 1860 where I found them on the census there. His family was in Greenville District, SC before that on the census. I have lots on Uriah's ancestors there on my site. They are not my line but for many years, researchers thought that my line and yours were the same line but DNA proves otherwise. Mine settled in Franklin Co. GA in 1784 and yours was in Greenville about the same time. I will check my books for your Hamiltons.
