He had 2 sons, Jesse, and Alexander Jr. (b. abt 1750). One of his daughters, Janet, left Virginia with her hsuband William Hansford and settled in Elbert County, Georgia. I have not found out if his two sons left Virginia, or settled in South Carolina or Georgia. Alexander Brown had 2 known brothers, Daniel and George. Alexander's father was William Brown. I know that Brown is a very common name, but when I see the Brown surname with such given names as Daniel, William, and Alexander, I always like to check. I am trying to locate the father of William Joseph Brown who married Hester or Ella McPherson. Sally, What Freemans are you researching? I have been searching for over a year with no results for a gg grandfather, Jim Freeman married to Catharine Campbell. I believe he was born about 1826. I got their names from their daughter's obit. She was Nancy Lue Freeman Gillespie who died in 1948. I do know they were in the Anderson-Pickens area but have found nothing else.
