He is buried in the Bethany Church Cemetery in Anderson County, next to (I think)his first wife, Florence S. Fields. He died January 17,1949. Florence died in 1914, and I have a deed, dated March 30, 1922, of some property owned by Samuel's mother that has Lila Fields signing as S.C. Fields' wife. From his obituary, Samuel had at least 3 children, so I am assuming these were with Florence. Where is Lila buried? Do you have any other information about her? Do you know if she is related to Macy Duncan, who married Calhoun Brock?
