    3. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: {not a subscriber} pine lawn cemetery in Pelzer Date: Wed, 12 Jul 2000 18:51:40 -0700 From: behunt <behunt@blueridgenet.com> To: SCANDERS-L@rootsweb.com It appears there are two cemeteries in Pelzer. The first was in the monkey park and about 100 persons were interred there before the Pelzer Manf Company began to use the cemetery across the highway behind the Church of God knowm as Pine Lawn. Mr Cobb and Welborn include in their book " Memories of Pelzer" a listing of names of known graves. They also include known parents etc with birth and death dates. They do not have names of persons buried in the first grave sites due to few surviving head stones. Elaine

    1. [SCANDERS] WILSON AND CHAPMAN FAMILIES
    2. I am looking for CHARLES(CHARLIE) WILSON married to OLA ROLLISON in the 1800s. They had at least five maybe seven boys DOMER, RUFUS, PRULO and CLAYTON. These are the only ones that I know of. Also looking for WILLIAM MARTIN CHAPMAN married to JOANNE QUALLS, same time period. Their children were LEILA and LILA, twins, LILA died at three months of age, and at least one boy named AN, this could be a nickname. These families lived in ANDERSON in the 1800s and 1900s. I know there are still relatives living there but I have not been able to find any. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you, Vicki Kidd

I looked in the book on Pelzer that Mr. Cobb helped write and there is a complete list of names buried in this cemetery in it. I will send this email to my home account and send all the details to you. The name of the Cemetery is Pine Lawn I think. Anyway I'll get the correct information this evening. You would think that having lived in Pelzer most of my life I would know such stuff. How soon we forget! Elaine

    1. [SCANDERS] GAMBRELL/NABORS
    2. I am searching for the burial places of GAMBRELLS in Anderson Co, esp. for the burial place of William GAMBRELL, d. 1837 and his wife, Sarah STONE GAMBRELL, d. 1858. I am also interested in the burial place of Wm.'s father, John GAMBRELL, d. 1834, and his wife, Barbary BRUTON GAMBRELL, d. 1847. I would appreciate any info on this family, and would be happy to share the info I have, but I thought there might be a cemetery that has the older GAMBRELL graves in it. Does anyone know of the graves of any NABORS/NEIGHBORS family members? I am searching for Mastin NABORS/NEIGHBORS's grave. I do not have a death date for him, but would appreciate anything on him. His name has been written as Mastin/Maston/Martin and the surname is spelled in different ways also. His wife was named Anna Rebecca or Rebecca Anna. She may have been called any variant of these names. They were my GG-Grandparents and they are the most difficult to search that I have seen, prob. bec. of the confusion over the spellings of the names. Thank you very much for your time and any help you can give! Godspeed... Dolores Miller Pringle
