I need more information on their connections and travels as they lived in that area. Thompson Reeves b. 1799 is my ancestor and migrated to the south with others who were adults there in the 1700's. John and Elizabeth Swain Reeves were there from 1804-1819 during the birth of their children. John's parents were Burgess and Frances Mauldin Reeves. I would be happy to exchange information about these or other Reeves Family members. Tommie Reeves Smith tommies@home.com

Posted on: Anderson County, SC Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/SC/Anderson/1543 Surname: Hanvey, Weadon, West, Angleberger, Frye ------------------------- Hi Tonya: While it is true, I do have a vast amount of information on the Hanvey family from Ireland to South Carolina in 1767 (William Hanvey). Many of William's descendants did in time settle in Anderson County. S.C. I don't have a complete handle on the Virginia Hanvey's. I do have some information on the Hanvey's of Virginia, mainly centering on Patrick Hanvey born about 1775, I have never tied this family to that of my William Hanvey, but suspect these two families may have been related back in County Down, Ireland. I also suspect this is the family that your husband is descended from - but the information you give and that which I have is not currently sufficent to determine one way or another. Again, I am sorry, from the information you give, I can't place your Hanvey line. However, I am constantly receiving information on various Hanvey family lines from all over the world and if you could put together a family tree starting with your family going back as far as you can - maybe I could in the future could definitly place your line. This "tree" should give names, dates, or estimated dates, and any places known or believed to be associated with your Hanvey line. I have by this method helped hundreds to locate their family line over the years. I am going to list what I have on your possible Hanvey family line, most of it has not been documented and the data probably has many holes and errors in its contents - so every thing must be verified before it is taken as fact or passed on as fact. Hope to hear from you soon and will be glad to work with you on this family line. Regards, Monte A.
