Posted on: Anderson County, SC Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/SC/Anderson/1703 Surname: ------------------------- I have some basic information sent to me from a SC Watkins researcher. I don't know if this is your David. David Watkins bought land in Anderson County, SC 1793. Peter Watkins in his will of 1801 lists sons David and Evan, and a grandson Evan. Peter Watkins was granted 150 acres of land in Berkelely County, SC. From William Henry Middleton, Governor of the Province, dated February 14, 1758. Peter's father MAY? have been Evan Watkins of Frederick Co., who died in 1764. His will said that he was survived by wife Mary, sons David, Peter, and Evan, and a grandson Evan-another one; and daughters Jean Watkins, Ann Lewis, and Eleaner Treaks. I have more information, but too much to list. Will look forward to your reply.
