I don't have any clues to Michael's father's name. As for Mary Jane McKee- her dates are 1843-1928. Does this sound like yours? The daughter of James McKee and Sarah Cunningham? Mary Jane McKee had three daughters. I know that Michael Simpson and Mary Jane McKee are buried in the Rocky River Baptist Church Cemetery, as well as their daughter Dora Simpson(who may have the last name of Todd on her stone). I sure hope that there is a connection here. I'd like to someday see my Simpson back to his home country(then maybe I'd be content). Cindy Snyder
I have a Mary Jane McKee born 1841, but don't have who she married. I do have several Simpsons, what was Michael's fathers name? Do you know if any of your Simpsons had a son named Michael or Michael Pinckney Simpson (born 1851)? Michael married a Mary Jane McKee, and is buried at Rocky River Ridge. Thank you, and I wish I had information for you. Cindy Snyder
Cindy; I have some Todds in my McAlister family line, and one Todd was a witness in Andrew McAlister's will. He was possibly my g-g-g-g grandfather. I am away from home at this writing and unable to access my file. I will write when I get back. Jim McAlister jimandnant@aol.com

Does anyone know their history on the Hebron Church Cemetery? Was the land given by a Todd or an Adams? I have in my notes that either the parents of John Quincy Adams(not the president) or Sarah Todd's father, Andrew gave the land. Thank you, Cindy Snyder
Posted on: Anderson County, SC Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/SC/Anderson/1900 Surname: Simpson ------------------------- Need info. on David Milton Simpson b. 1812-17. He was son of David Moffat d. 1849 and Martha Bratton Sadler Simpson d. abt. 1880. David was twin of John Allen Simpson. Siblings James L. and Louisa C. Simpson and others. This family descendents of Rev. John Simpson who founded Roberts Preys. church in Roberts Comm., Anderson Co. SC. Rev. John moved from the Fishing Creek area of Chester Co. SC to Anderson Co. SC after the Revolution. Dean Simpson eak3@WCTel.net
I am also searching for an Adams- about that time frame. A John Quincy Adams was born abt 1830 and came over to America as a young boy with his dad from Ireland. John married Sarah Todd, and had 7 children; Essie, James, Elmina, Elkansas, Willie(f), Eddie(f), Augustus(m). John and Sarah are buried in Good Hope Cemetery near Iva, Anderson Co, SC. Essie married Albert Bennett Evans and had several children. Anyway, would be nice if our Adams hooked up some way both being in Anderson, but I suppose Adams is a popular name. Cindy Snyder, in MS- hoping to visit Anderson Co real soon.
