Posted on: Anderson County, SC Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/SC/Anderson/1926 Surname: Poole, Hunter ------------------------- I am looking for information on Manning Poole. The 1820 census shows him in Anderson County with 6 children and he was between 26 to 45 years old. He died in 1842. The administrators of his estate were William H. Poole and Adam Poole. From the estate record, I believe that William was a relative (brother maybe) and Adam was his son. From this same source, I believe that his wife's name was Mary. Willaim Hunter is named as receiving money from the estate. There was no will. Any information would be appreciated.

    3. Posted on: Anderson County, SC Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/SC/Anderson/1917 Surname: Brock, Bell, Fields, Sanders, Robinson ------------------------- "Eight Southern Families" lists Permelia Ann Robinson. Born July 25, 1821, married to Enoch H. Duke. Daugter of James E. Robinson and Susannah E. Bigby (my ggg grandparents.) James E. was the son of John Robinson. John Robinson was born in NC, and came to Anderson Co. Susannah was the daughter of Archibald Bigby. The book has several pages on this line, and further information on Permelia (I don't have those pages). Apparently, the author was not 100% accurate. But still a very useful book. Good luck!

    1. Re: [SCANDERS] Rocky River Baptist Church Cemetery
    2. Yes, It is in Abbeville County. There are three locations. Look on the usgen web page for Abbeville County SC http://www.rootsweb.com/~scabbevi/cemetery.htm There is an Old Rocky River Cemetery in Latimer, a Rocky River Cemetery in Latimer, and a Rocky River Cemetery in Antreville. I found it myself. No one responded, but then again I asked the wrong county. I've got a couple of Simpsons, a Rampey, and a McKee in Rocky River. I hope they are easy to find. I'll be looking for them this summer when I get up there. Cindy

    3. Hi Cindy, Did you ever get an answer about the locations of the Rocky River Baptist Church Cemetery? If so, would you share it with me? My husband and I found the church once, but if I remember correctly, he date on the sign for the beginning of the church was later than the dates of death for the people we were trying to find. We asked around, and were told to go "down the road", but we never did find any other cemetery of that name. If you find out, I would really like to know about it.
