    2. doggett
    3. Anyone out there researching the Watt family? James maybe son of Thomas and Margaret . If so he was 16 in 1767. He had John who died young but not before he had some children. Margaret (Jane?) Watt was John's daughter and married Kelly Sullivan. John's brother James may have married a Norwood. There was also an Andrew and a Thomas. Will try to help you if you know anything. I am not but 45 minutes from Old Pendleton but they may have lived closer to Abbeville, SC.. May have lived in or near Dark Corner. John Pickens death is reported in Mary Black's application for relief made to the Assembly on 3rd February 1790 for his services as a Horseman before the reduction of Charleston and who died on 16 December 1781 and left her a widow with a family of orphan children. She appealed again on 19 November 1819 to Members of the Senate requesting to be put on the pension list to "enable her to drag out the remaining days which she may have to live' at least she hopes that she will not be refused the three years annuity which she did not draw for herself.: I know that there were several Blacks who signed the petitioner to have the Reverend Alexander Porter come to Cedar Springs and Long Cane to be the minister there. Among those signing circa 1797/8 were MARY BLACK, WILLIAM BLACK, SAMUEL BLACK AND JAMES BLACK. A Mary Black gave five acres for a burying ground for Cedar Springs on her property which was a part of the Hutchinson Survey. I am trying to establish the parents of David Abbot Black (1800 SC - 1869) whose memorial in the Sessional Records for Ebenezer ARP church in Tippah Co., MS shows that he was a member of Cedar Springs congregation before he moved to Wilcox Co. AL where he married in 1833 to Mary Audra Young, the d/o Samuel and Elizabeth Bonner Young, who were members of Cedar Springs before they moved to Wilcox Co., AL when Mary Audra was a child.....circa 1820. 1. Re: [SCANDERS] Adams
    2. Is the James Adams you are speaking of the son of John Quincey Adams and Sarah Todd? Was he buried at Starr Cemetery and had a Ruby, Eula, Ottis, Florence, Mason, Lonnie, Ella, Norman, Edgar, and a Harry? If so, you and my husband could be kin, as he is of John and Sarah (Todd) Adams. Cindy Snyder
