I am also researching MOORE in Anderson Cty. This is my husband's side of the family and I have just begun. Grandma's father and mother were Prue Jones Moore and Hyacinth Campbell (b. in Ga). Children are: 1. Ruby (d. age 2 in a fire) 2. Margie Estelle 3. Mary Tom 4. James Max 5. Prue Jones 7. Elizabeth (d. as baby) 8. Sue Ray 9. Benson Norman 10. Jack Campbell Grandma says they were born and raised in Starr. On 1910 census Prue is in Varennes and 1920 "part of Savannah Twp." There are several family graves in Starr Baptist cemetery. Prue's father was James MOORE, married to Essie Moore. On 1900 census he is in Hall Twp. Children are: 1. Eulas 2. Ernest 3. Prue 4. Mary 5. I'm not sure but several months ago, I was in Barnes and Nobles in Columbia and noticed where there were several books published on small towns in SC...I know that they had a book on Belton..so I would think that one may have been written on Belton or Pelzer???? Also, you may check the Richland County Public Library Web Site....they may note some other resources I am orginally from Anderson, so I may be able to help if anyone needs to know specific locations Tracy
