Posted on: Anderson County, SC Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/SC/Anderson/12009 Surname: Winkler, Burckmyer, Bristow ------------------------- I have a mystery I am trying to solve. While in S.C. last year I found the grave of my greatgrandfather PORTER K. WINKLER located in the Williamston Cemetery, in Williamston, Anderson County, S.C. He is buried with a family of HUTTO'S. This is a mystery to me because in April of 1910 he wasliving in Richmond, Virginia and by June 26, 1910 he is dead and buried all this way from home. Why was he there, are the HUTTO's somehow related, and how did he die? Any help with this mystery would be truely appreciated? Where to look? What old newpapers ect... Thank You for your time!

Particularly interested in contacting descendants of John Stewart and Ann Partain of Old Generostee Presbyterian Church area. John Stewart's nephew, the Rev. Ebenezer Pressly Stewart was born within the 'bounds of Pendleton Courthouse in 1837. The name has been variously spelled in the 1800/10/20/30/40/50/60 censuses. Posted on: Anderson County, SC Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/SC/Anderson/12003 Surname: Banister, Bannister, Campbell, McCullough ------------------------- Would anyone be familiar with the names Beatrice and Bo Gray - or Mrs. Carnes and grandbaby? I have some pictures - some with names, some without, which were in a box of pictures my mom had. Beatrice is holding Bo in her lap. On the other picture, Mrs. Carnes is holding "grandbaby". It looks like a picture of a baby who is to be christened as it has on a long dress. These are old pictures and probably were made in the 1920's, but not sure. Also not sure, but I believe these ladies would be from the Iva area.
