Please? Hi, I'm trying to find out about a man named Andrew Egger that lived in South Carolina between 1757 - 1762. I don't know much more about him except he was married to a woman named Mary and they had the following children; James E. Egger (1757), William Egger (1759). Mary Egger (1760), Andrew Egger (March 12, 1762). I think he died before 1800 because he doesn't show up on that census with his wife. Could you please suggest anything to help me? I've tried everything that I could think of up to this point. Thank you, bj

Matilda Burdette (b. 1/12/1801, SC; d. 3/17/1871, Limestone Co., TX). Ervin and Matilda lived in Jasper Co., GA in the 1820's to 1849's before moving to Washington Co., TX in the mid-1840's. Ervin was known to friends and family as "Governor Brown". Matilda was dau. of Henry Burdette and Nancy Clark. Could you please tell me if Ervin appears in the index of your book. 3. Hi Donna, this statement is very true.. I've got letters to prove it.. My ancestor William W. Martin wrote many letters to his wife Sarah Elizabeth and they talked at length about the status of the crops. There is no mention of any slaves in these letters, in fact she was quite put out that he was fighting at all when he was much needed at home. Sandy
