    3. Joe, I'm also researching Taylors in Anderson County, SC. If you have anything on James Milton Taylor, b. 1823, I would love to hear from you. I know nothing of his parents or siblings. He married Eliza Ann Telford around late 1840's. One of their sons, James Harrison Taylor, b. 1852 ( my great grandfather ), migrated to Suwannee County, FL in the 1860's with his mother, sister Caroline, and possibly two other siblings. 2. Sanford Vandiver "Van" Vaughan was b. Feb 1938, Pickens Dist., SC; d. 6 Jan 1862 Richmond Hospital, Richmond, VA. He had a furlough home and Harriett became pregnant. Van wrote home to ask if it was a boy could he be named for an Army buddy......Raymond Alley. Of course, this is what happened. Van never saw his son. Raymond married and had several children. Most of his descendants were in Pell City, St. Clair, AL. Shirley
