The rules sound just like myfamily.com........does anyone know or use this site? I wonder if its Myfamily all over again. Cindy

    3. David, There is a Oconee National Forest in Putnam/Jasper/Jones/Warren County areas of GA so that is probably where you need to look. Of course there is a Mountain Creek in Edgefield Co. 3. Pat, I am interested in the Fowlers in Anderson Co. SC too. I live in Anderson and my Fowlers moved here in early 1900s from Jackson Co. NC but they were in Oconee Co SC before that. I have some info on some Fowlers that were in Anderson Co. in late 1800s and early 1900s but can't seem to connect them to mine. Of course these were in Cherokee Co. 3. Just hazarding a guess, but I would think it means Oconee National which is in present-day Oconee Co., SC, and was earlier a part of Pickens Dist., and prior to that, a part of Old Pendleton Dist., SC. Hope this helps! It is an old Indian name and is pronounced w/both "o's" and the "e's" sounded as long letters (oh-kon-ee). Turn left before Church of God building and then turn right just as you pass the church. The cemetery begins right behind the church and continues back beyond the tree line. Elaine

It is across from the Pelzer COG cemetery behind the church. A very nice well kept cemetery. Altho when I ventured across to the COG cemetery, I was able to walk a little bit of it where they started cutting the grass. The rest of the grass was waist high so I didn't venture for ticks and chiggers. Cindy
