    1. [SCAnderson] Re: Warren & Jane E. Spearman
    2. Allen L. Brock
    3. This post is NOT gatewayed to the message board. As to when Warren died, (Widow)Jane and children were alone in Oconee County in the 1900 census. Since Warren was born about 1853 I'd say he died before age 60, assuming he was really dead by the 1900 census. His death in Frank Spearman's book is recorded as 8 March 1895, and shows him and Jane to be buried in the Old Liberty Cemetery. Jane E. Davis is almost positively identified as the daughter of Isaac Davis and Elizabeth Walker, but her death certificate doesn't list them. (In the 1870 census Isaac Davis and [new]wife Dinah[Nix] and children including Jane E. age 17 lived just a few houses from Levi Spearman and his son Warren.) Her birth is recorded as 20 May 1852 in Frank Spearman's book, but her death certificate just says 1851. She died 17 March 1917. Place of burial or removal was Liberty, therefore I'd guess with Warren in the Old Liberty Cemetery. The funeral home isn't listed, and I can't make out the undertaker other than first name looks something like Buchey, of Anderson. Allen

My great grandfather, Andrew J., is not listed until the 1880 Census in Randolph County. I did not find James F. listed on the 1900 census. I think he must have died between 1881-1899.
