    3. I have a question. What is the best way to document a burial for someone who is cremated and wished to have their ashes spread in a pretty place. Her husband was told to never tell where the ashes are spread. This is according to her wishes. Cindy

    1. RE: [SCAnderson] Anyone searching EGGERS?
    2. Gene Schneider
    3. Hi bj, I looked in all my books and history records at home, but no Egger? I will look in the files at the new Anderson County's history room the next time I get there? Meanwhile I did find an early Hans Egger who was an early Swiss (german) emigrant who emigrated to SC in the old Saxe Gothat Twp. in 1744. He paid the emigration tax an became a owner of a lot in Saxe Gotha. Saxe Gotha was an early settlement in 1735 of Germans to arrive from Germany. Saxe Gotha was located near the present day Columbia, SC, across the river on the Congaree & Santee River. Since you stated that he was living in SC ca. 1757-1762, this might be a lead for you? Best wishes and good luck, Gene...ACM -----Original Message----- From: Cindy [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, June 11, 2003 10:13 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [SCAnderson] Anyone searching EGGERS? Forwarding this to the list, please reply directly to the lady below. ----- Original Message ----- From: bj berrykeeper To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, June 11, 2003 2:55 AM Subject: Advice? Please? Hi, I'm trying to find out about a man named Andrew Egger that lived in South Carolina between 1757 - 1762. I don't know much more about him except he was married to a woman named Mary and they had the following children; James E. Egger (1757), William Egger (1759). Mary Egger (1760), Andrew Egger (March 12, 1762). I think he died before 1800 because he doesn't show up on that census with his wife. Could you please suggest anything to help me? I've tried everything that I could think of up to this point.
