    2. Charlotte
    3. On a recent trip to Anderson County to visit the Old Leverette Cemetery in Iva, I found John T. McKee buried in the cemetery with a tombstone. The stone read as follows: John T. McKee b 12-07-1806, d 9-23-1850. I do not research the surname McKee. Someone may, however, be interested to know where this man is buried. The other tombstones are for the Leverett family only. I do not know if there is any family connection.... Charlotte

    2. I have a copy of a history of the King Family written in 1978 by Dr. Willis King, Clemson, S.C. and Mrs Henry H. Lowe (Mary Lee King) of Belton which follows the family of Robert King (I) and wife Elizabeth from their arrival in S.C. in 1772 until 1900. With son Robert King (II) and wife Tabitha Dolby landed near Baltimore in 1770 with their son Peter, born at sea. In 1772 they were settling in Western South Carolina in Cherokee Indian Lands, which later became Pendleton District in 1785. Anderson County was separated in 1828. Some information is in Louise Ayer Vandiver's book Traditions and History of Anderson County. Dr. King and Mrs. Lowe listed all the families and children Robert and Tabitha had 21 children, the third was known as Reverend Bobby .He married Frances Holland, daughter of Moses Holland they had 12 children, the first was John Daniel, born 1813. I have all the children, their marriages and children listed , along with the cemetery where they are buried. I will try to look up names and dates, but file is too big to post. Betsy Alleman

    3. Betsy...you might get a argument abt Hannah Richardson family donating the land for Shiloh Methodist Church. According to Col. Frank Spearman & his research the land was donated by David Samuel Spearman according to the church history. But I honestly don't know who gave the land!! I never questioned his statement, has anyone on the list been to the church & read the history? You quirked my interest...lol Derrell Oakley Teat, GGGG Granddaughter of Samuel David & Nancy Clardy.
