    3. In the mid 1980's, the SC Department of Transportation built Highway 153 in Powdersville. Four to six field-stone marked graves belonging to the Rev. James Douthit Family were located along side of a fence line, that was very close to 153 (NW of I-85). No one seems to know what happened to these graves... Do you know? 1. Cemetery Identification
    2. GoldenCorner GenWeb
    3. Hello List, Ross Smith's Book-of-the-Dead tombstone inscriptions has now been sorted by cemetery reference number and is available for viewing at http://www.rootsweb.com/~scandrsn/ross.html. When his inscriptions were sorted, the following reference numbers appeared. However, these numbers are missing from the index that I have. It's very possible that his 3rd Edition added these cemeteries, or maybe typo errors were made. Can you help identify the burial place for these folks? Note: The Anderson County Cemetery Survey Books have already been checked. 87a - MAULDIN, Elizabeth b. d. 08-25-1905 69a - MOORE, Leticia b. d.10-23-1810 71a - GAMBRELL, James N. b.1870 d.01-06-1916 45a - CLEMENT, J.C. b.08-01-1827 d.09-1847 45a - PAYNE, Benjamin b. d.01-15-1845 111a - CLARKE, Frances b.02-30-1752 d.08-15-1820 111a - RICHARDSON, Mathias (Sr) b.07-14-1749 d.12-18-1828 107A - MARTIN, Marshall Monroe b.05-21-1841 d.01-16-1862 10A - SHELDON, Mary b. d.03-31-1868 There's another problem that cropped up after the sorting - there were no tombstone inscriptions for the following reference numbers.
