Hi, Some of my kinfolk married into the Welborn lines. The farthest back I have is Aaron H.Welborn 1884-1950 (buried in Hartwell, Ga). Have lots of info on his descendants. Dear Welborn descendant, My grandmother was a Welborn from Pickens. I don't have a Welborn genealogy book but there are some there to be had. My records just show connections in Pickens, Aaron, William Elbert, and Judge Major and a few in Anderson County. The two families I knew in Anderson Co., SC were Byron Welborn and Hugh Welborn's Family. They are buried at the Lebanon Baptist Church in Anderson Co along with a bunch of other Welborn families. Looking for relatives of early 1700s Hendrick in SC area of St Barthlomew's Parish, St. Paul's Parish and Christ Church Parish, St Helena's Parish in old Granville, Colleton and Berkley Co., SC. A connection to the Loyde Family in 1720s in SC via John Hendrick as exor of estate reveals Hendrick and Loyde Families of County of Devon, Salcome Parish, United Kingdom. At least one of this group is found in Georgia in the 1790 reconstructed census of GA. A number of land deeds shows family still in SC in the 1780s and 1790s and then the relationships become more diffuse. Tell me more about John James Stevenson and Margaret Bowen. My gg-grandfather, William H. Stephenson, was born Dec. 2, 1817 in the Anderson District of SC. He died Feb. 21, 1910 in Dadeville, Tallapoosa County, Alabama. His death certificate states that his parents are James and Margaret Stephenson.
