Have we corresponded in the past and what is your connection with this man? Do you have parents for this TOOLE man. Can you cite any sources??? For some reason your information sounds familiar, but I don't have it all entered in my computer Gen. program. The only match I am coming up with is a Frank/Franklin Toole b. c. 1861-1862 with a mother Sarah Addie/Adaline Sprawls, daughter of Darling Sprawls with unknown Toole father. I picked this up from the census and some correspondence with someone on the Internet that I don't have time to look for right now. I have projected and theorized that this Frank/Franklin Toole's parents might have married about the beginning of the Civil War and that his father might have died in the Confederate Army. With the name of Franklin/Frank or if he is the same as the Giles Franklin that you have, then it is very likely that he was a descendent of Benjamin Toole. Benjamin had a s! on named Giles Franklin Toole, much only than this one of course. I have several men with variations of that name. It only remains to determine which of the Toole men died in the Civil War or shortly there after and before 1870. This I have not matched this up yet.
