    1. Piper and Plunkett Death Certificates.
    2. Lee and Billie Jones
    3. The following Death certificates were transcribed from the 1915 - 1952 microfilmed records of the original Death Certificates, located at the Camden Archives and Museum, Camden, SC by Billie Jones. ------------------------------------------------ 1921 - Death Cert. #18351, Aiken Co, SC George Piper Male, Negro, 60, farmer father: General Piper, SC Mother: none given d. March 13, 1921, Tabernacle Township, Aiken Co, SC cause: Instant death from gunshot wound - homicide Cornorers Request held by Judge George (?Garvin?), Wagner, SC informant: J. E. Courtney buried: Smyrna March 14. 1921 Wrong George Piper, as Sardelia's husband is buried with her in West Creek Baptist, Saluda Co, sC Piper, George Thomas Dec 6 1837 Jun 7 1898 [He will have no DC] Piper, Sardelia [(Sardy)] PADGETT Oct 5 1840 Mar 25 1917 ---------------------------------------- Something really wrong here with the age given on her DC. According to the tombstone, which if she married George and he was born in 1837 is probably the 1840 of the tombstone, she is age 77, not 16. Death date is different too. Maybe there are two different folks, but only found the one in the Cem. records??? 1917 - Death Cert. #5291, Saluda, SC Sardelia Piper Female, white, widowed, age 16 yr, 5 mo, 20d b. Saluda Co. father: Wilson Padgett, Saluda Co, SC mother: Matilda Funder(ling), Saluda Co, SC d. March 15, 1917, Saluda Co, township #2 cause: bronchitis with bronchal pneumonia, primary informant: J. S. Crouch, Batesburg, SC buried: West Creek Church UT. W. H. Fallaw, Batesburg HC Ouzts has her parents as d/o Matilda (Tilda) FUNDERBURK & Wilson Padgett, but I tried very hard to make Funderburk out of the name on the DC and could not, as it is a name I am familiar with. ---------------------------------------- 1924 - Death Cert. #17147, Saluda Co, SC Charles E. Plunkett Male, White, wd, Farmer b. April 9, 1844, SC father: Robert W. Plunkett, SC mother: Charity Stewart, SC d. Ramey, Saluda, SC ---------------------------------------- 1923 - Death Cert. #10130, Saluda Co, SC Elizabeth Plunkett Female, White, md. b. However, the names in bracketts are added by HC Ouzts, and are not on the tombstones. He has identified them as such, and I don't know enought about the families to prove or disprove the connections. . Plunkett, Gilson Y. [Yarborough, Sr.] Jun 20 1880 Apr 18 1958 Plunkett, Mary L.
