I found Jessie in the SCDI so its just a matter of getting a copy of his death certificate from Columbia. He was born in 1889 and I find nothing on the 1890 census. In 1900 he is age 11 living with family in Gregg, SC, listed as a nephew to the head of household. Also in this census is his father in the same household, along with brother John Furman Foster (aka: Furman John Roberts or Robertson Foster), and sister Alice. One other brother is Sumpter Daniel Foster. Sumpter was born in 1882 but I don't find him in any documents until 1910. Sumpter owned a Barber Shop at Schultz Hill, SC (near Augusta, GA/North Augusta, SC). Jessie is also listed as a barber. When I can get up to Aiken County again I hope to find an obituary for him. It could be that the paper the obit was in has not yet been scanned and loaded or it could be that his obit was in the Herald.
