    1. Aiken County Death Certificates
    2. Lee and Billie Jones
    3. I transcribed the following death cert. today at the Camden Archives & Museum and am sharing: Some items are very difficult to read. Remember.... the ONLY thing that is primary documentation from the death cert. is the Death date and cause of death filled in by the Dr. All other info. is provided by an informant who may or may not know all the facts, such as the names of parents if they have been dead for a long time. If you happen to have proof that some of the info. is incorrect, please do a reply all and post back to the lists. Hope they fill in some gaps for some of you. August 15, 1934, Silverton township, Aiken Co, SC cause: arterio-sclerosis & cardiac hypertrophy informant: William Ford, Jackson, SC buried: (Sheen or Green) Pond UT: _______, Ellenton, SC I must have really done something wrong on this one. Age of 75 makes him born ca 1859. I have a Powell Ford in my files b. ca 1859 from 1880 Sleepy Hollow, Aiken, South Carolina, p. 271C [Source: FHL Film 1255218 National Archives Film T9-1218] Bennet BLACKMAN Self M M W 46 SC Occ: Laborer Fa: SC Mo: SC Frances BLACKMAN Wife F M W 45 SC Occ: Keeping House Fa: SC Mo: SC Anderson BLACKMAN Son M S W 7 SC Fa: SC Mo: SC Eleanor FORD SDau F S W 26 SC Occ: Domestic Servant Fa: SC Mo: SC Mat FORD Other F S W 24 SC Occ: Laborer Fa: SC Mo: SC Powel FORD Other M S W 21 SC Occ: Laborer Fa: SC Mo: SC This is from census census transcription. Can anyone check the original to see if it gives a relationship. Since Eleanor Ford is called a stepchild, I would think the other Fords would be too..... Frances evidently married to William Ford 1st, then to Bennet Blackman??? But whatever..... something is very wrong with the dates of birth for Powell in the death cert. unless we have a whole new Powell Ford. Another question.... note the informant... is this the father William Ford?? that would really put a crimp in the marriage speculation. Maybe a brother? I am not knowledgeable on the Ford family, so all my comments are speculation. NEED HELP HERE?? ------------------------------------------------ 1951 - Death Cert. #5279, Aiekn Co, SC Henry G.
