The death certificates are posted at the bottom.... I have not yet gotten to the Aiken Co. Cem. books and worked on the Mt. Pleasant or Shiloh cem. records. Larry Scott found Ransom in the 1850 Census in Barnwell Co., SC, fam #1538. Most indicate they were born in Aiken Co, SC, but Aiken was not formed until 1870. They are probably born in Barnwell Co, SC, altho Mary Jordan Cato is the only one that puts her parents birth in Edgefield Dist, SC. Aiken was formed mostly from part of Barnwell, Aiken, with a little bit of Orangeburg and Lexington. So not sure where they were actually born.
