Was Lucy kin to George Wright (ca1730-ca1774) who came from Frederick County, Virginia, to Old 96 District? If so, we are definitely connected on that line. George Wright and his wife Sarah Bowman were the parents of Susannah Wright (1770-1809) who married Jacob Niswanger. One daughter of Susannah and Jacob, Margaret Niswanger (1790-1831), married John Sims and they became the parents of my 2gr-grandmother, Sarah Karr Sims. Another daughter of Susannah and Jacob, Mary Ann Niswanger (1799-1877), married Joseph Wardlaw in 1819. Another daughter of Susanah and Jacob, Sarah Niswanger (1794-1870) married Berry Watson, and their daughter Harriet Nuel Carr Watson (1825-1860) married Christopher Augustus Smith, Sr. (ca 1820-1867). I don't know the parentage of Christopher Augustus Smith, Sr. So, you can see that these families really "mixed it up." Is any of this familiar to you?
