I am looking for information regarding the "Redding" family. My great-great grandfather, Louis D. Redding, was born in Abbeville, South Carolina about 1832. I have minimal information regarding his parents....he married Mary McCartney of Ireland about 1850...eventually relocated to South Bend, Indiana before the War between the States..my great grandmother was born there in 1857. Family legend is that brother fought against brother in the war. I do not have any of his siblings first names. I do have information that his father was born in Virginia and that his mother was born in South Carolina, but I do not have their first names. I have been researching as much as possible to find out more regarding Louis D. Redding, born in Abbeville, South Carolina in about 1832. Thanks for you help. Good bye.
