This is what I found: The Savannah River Regiment District in the county of Abbeville State of South Carolina. Household 1162 Samuel Patterson 66 m White Hireling born Via (Virginia?), Eula A Patterson 46 f w born SC , William J Patterson 18 m w Hireling born SC attended school, Louisa J 16 f w school , Lucinda C 15 f w school, Robert S 12 m w school, Sarah A 11 f w school Our known ancester is Robert S Patterson, and several facts match up with this family and I'm hopeful that this is the right family. Anything look familiar? Think he might be related to the Samuel I you mention? Only problem I see is that this Samuel seems to have been born in Virginia
