In the Library I found that the Courthouse was burned in 1872. Most records were saved and moved to a store across the street. Later a fire razed the store area and all records were lost. Only records left are in the office of the Probate Judge. I plan to return and search these records in the near future. I also visited the Library in Lincolnton, Lincoln County, Georgis.
