Ancestors of mine were in Abbeville District (Michael Devall) as early as 1760's and were named in wills and land deeds with the Porter family. My gggrandfather was Maclin Devall and I believe he had brothers or cousins with names like Neri and Chappel. There are Porters with names like William Chappel and Neri Baker as well as Neri Baker DeVall and Macklin DeVall and Jacob Martin DeVall . Any help would be appreciated. Cindy DeVall [email protected]
