Surnames: CLARK, RICHARDSON, KIDD Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GeB.2ACI/978 Message Board Post: Looking for James Clark's family. (Parents) James was b. 1809 SC d. c. 1878 Marion Co. GA Married twice: EVA (v. sp) b. 1811 SC d. c. 1866-7 Marion Co. GA 2 females under 5 were list in the household on the 1830 census. Nothing after that. MAHALA RICHARDSON b. 1833 GA. d. c. 1910 Mitchell Co. GA. children: James b. 1868 d. c. 1889 fever no marriage Susan b. 1869 d. c. 1920s Colquitt Co. GA Ely b. 1872 d. 1940 Mitchell Co. GA. There is a James Clark listed in Elbert Co. GA on the 1827 Elbert Co. Land Lottery list. WHEN James came to GA is unkn but he had to have been in GA for 2 years to qualify for a draw. His draw was a lot in Muscogee District. The lot eventually became Marion Co. GA. He had Kidd and Morrow children who were b. in SC in his household from 1840-50 to 1870. (William and Rebecca Jane Kidd, John Morrow.) William and John left the household before the 1860 census. William married Sarah Redmond and John went to parts unkn. Rebecca married after the 1870 census and moved to AL. These children have a possibility of being kin to the Clarks. My research has been in Union, Chester, Abbeville, Laurens co. and Long Cane Creek area. Nothing so far. Any ideas, clues, possiblities, or relatives?
