Dear Paul, Thanks for replying to my query. I don't have much on Catherine Green, but I wonder if she's the Catherine who seems to be the widow of Robert Green, per his 1805 Abbev. Dist. estate (box 39, bundle 831). If so, it's interesting that I find members of the Calhoun, Caldwell, and Trimble family in the estate records. All tie into the kinship network of my John Green family, which makes me think that Robert could well be a relative of my John Green. About the Olivers: the John Green (1768-1837) about whom I posted married Jane, daughter of Samuel Kerr and Mary Calhoun. Jane had a sister Ruth who married William Oliver. I don't know much about this family except that they had children James and Mary Calhoun Oliver. I also find a 25 Sept. 1816 Pendleton Dist. deed in which the heirs of a James Oliver--Wm. Oliver, Peter M. Oliver, and Jane Oliver--sold to Robert McCann 200 acres in Pendleton granted by will of James Oliver to his wife and two sons on 23 Mile Creek (Pendleton DB N, pp. 72-3). Lydia, wife of Peter, renounces dower. Whether the Wm. in this deed is the man who m. Ruth Kerr, I don't know. I hope this helps a bit, and will gladly share my information, if you think it would be useful to you in working on the Martins. Best, Bill L.
