    1. Please Help on Donaldsons
    2. I have been searching for many years to learn the names of the parents and siblings of Thomas Donaldson who was born 1750/1755, lived in Abbeville 2 Apr 1776 when he enlisted in Rev. Army, and died in Abbeville 1811. That is very little to know about a person, and just about all I know about Thomas Donaldson. I do know he had two wives, Janet Reeve dau of William Reeve RS, and Mary Cook. I know nothing about Mary Cook. Someone said Thomas was from Wilmington, New Hanover County, North Carolina, and that he and Mary Cook were married before he came to Abbeville. Thomas' children were: Nancy Agness, b. 17 Nov 1778 Elizabeth b. 30 Sep 1780 James, b. 22 Dec 1782 William, b. 1 Jan 1785 Thomas, b. 15 Oct 1787 Sally Cook, b. 10 Dec 1793 Rubin, b. 3 Mar 1795 Polly Ann, b. 15 Jan 1797 Daughter, b. 1799 Nimrod, b. 5 May 1802 All children were born in SC, probably Abbeville since they were born after he enlisted in 1776. Most of the children migrated into the Atlanta area in GA by 1830 census. The sons James, William, and Thomas were there a short time, but evidently moved on because they disappeared from the 1840 census. I will appreciate any help you have. I have traveled to Abbeville to try and learn where they lived at least, but to my horror, the deeds burned in 1873, so no way to check that. I have found no list of cemeteries that list Thomas and his wives. HELP!! Gloria Donaldson Wells [email protected]
