We are making a research trip to South Carolina in mid-September. I want to look for my Robertson and Blakely families in Abbeville. Having never been to that city, we have no idea where to start. Does anyone have the time to write to me, giving us some info about where to go for old records? Is there a genealogy or/and historical library? Suggestions for a motel? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
