Mary Ewart may be another wife of Adam, Sr. Will of Andrew Ewart dated 2 Apr 1795, rec. 13 Sep 1799 identifies Adam a bro-in-law, Mary Stewart his sister, James a nephew & Mary & Ann nieces. The Adam Stewart who married Isabella Foster in Abbeville migrated to Decatur Co., IN abt. 1837, was born in 1787 & would fit in time frame as son of Adam, Sr. James would be older. Could you be skipping a generation? Bucks & Hawthornes are connected to Adam Stewart (b.1787) thru marriages of his children. A write-up in Hist. of Decatur Co edited by Lewis A. Harding shows an Adam L. Stewart b. 1811, d. 1896 migrated with father James from S. C. to Ohio, thence to Decatur Co. Both Adam Stewarts were members of New Zion Church in Spring Hill, Decatur Co.
