Some are more detailed than others. You can see the 1825 Abbeville County map that "winn" spoke of in yesterday's post, here: http://www.historicmapsrestored.com/countymaps/a-d/abbeville1825.html This shows some landowners and is very detailed for towns, rivers, creeks, streams, churches, etc. Very nice. I have seen some older ones for Anderson County where the landowner's name was handwritten in, and they are great. I was hoping to find one like that for anytime after 1840 in Abbeville County. I did learn there is one from around 1895 in the Abbeville County library according to the first post; I just can't get there right now. I appreciate everyone's help. Joanne B.
