Mildred McComb Petty died Jun 7 2007 in Landrum at age 93. She was the daughter of the late Honorable Robert Samuel & Minnie (Taggart) McComb of Abbeville SC. In her obit it stated that she was born at the historic family home at Fort Pickens outside Abbeville SC. Do you know where this home is in Abbeville?? Could this home be the one that is next to Melrose Cemetery in Abbeville??? I know her parents are buried at Melrose.
