I noticed that the name Joseph and James are used as Nelly's husband but I think Joseph is correct. If you look at the inventory of personal property for John Glasgow, Joseph is an appraiser. James F Williams and Joseph are listed as a buyers of some of the items. In looking at the 1810 Abbeville census I find Joseph Williams aged 16-26 with a wife the same age and a son under age ten - there is an older lady in the household but she is unknown. There well could be some relationship between James F and Joseph Williams. Do you know if Rutha's father was James F Williams? Possibly Rutha and Joseph are sister/brother. Since the Abbeville Real Estate Division 1825-1839 has been found I have made application for DAR membership and I am proud to announce my membership was granted. It was not an easy process but it was fulfilling to get membership. I have not studied the Williams family of Abbeville but it is possible ! there is some relationship.
