I have some exciting DNA news! The Hamilton DNA project has a descendent of Thompson Perry Hamilton. Thompson is the brother of your John J Hamilton and my Goerge Allen Hamilton. Thompson also moved to the Perry, Florida area and can be found on the 1870 census with his family. BTW, he matches my father 37/37.
