Hello List Wanted to post Benjamin West, Sr., 1759, MD, served Rev War, NC troops, married 1788, lived in Abberville District, SC for thirty-five years, and died 1842, Hall Co., GA. If anyone connects or can add to this information, I would appreciate it. I have his NARA file, census records, and some death certificates for verification of dates and family members. He is located on the 96th District, Abberville, SC 1790 census, along with a James West in the same area. Wondering if this could be his father, since Benjamin's son was named James. At first, that sounded like am impossible task to us. However, since April we have a tremendous amount of progress! Brent Holcomb has a series of books of this type which covers all the SC Council Journal Records that existed at the time he did the work.
