I have a few family members buried there and it's located just a few miles outside of Ware Shoals, S.C.     2. Hello List Wanted to post Benjamin West, Sr., 1759, MD, served Rev War, NC troops, married 1788, lived in Abberville District, SC for thirty-five years, and died 1842, Hall Co., GA. If anyone connects or can add to this information, I would appreciate it. I have his NARA file, census records, and some death certificates for verification of dates and family members. He is located on the 96th District, Abberville, SC 1790 census, along with a James West in the same area. Wondering if this could be his father, since Benjamin's son was named James. Hoping to share with others searching this line and hopefully find his parents. At first, that sounded like am impossible task to us. However, since April we have a tremendous amount of progress! Twenty-five counties have been completed and 21 are in their final stages. We are currently using about 8 different resources to determine estimated cemetery GPS locations that will normally put you within eyesight of the cemeteries. My Webbs are shown arriving 4 Dec 1765. They were given land in Boonsborough Twp. I have never found a passenger list that includes them and I am not entirely sure they arrived on the Earle of Hillsborough as suggested in the Journal. I say suggested because the information in the abstract is taken out of context. I believe Mr. Andrea got his information directly from the Journals and I would like to confirm it and possibly find additional information.
