He had two sons, Thomas b 1777 and John b 1786. Another researcher for the McGAW family made an error in placing John GAW b 1786 as s/o William McGAW. William evidentally had a son, John also. That's not to say these GAW/McGAW familis are not related, only that these two John's are not the same person. The reason I bring this up, outside of getting my info out the again, is that I have limited info re the McGAW family that I received from this researcher. You have not given any time frame for your Martha, do you have that info? I'll be glad to send you what I have. So far, I've seen two Martha's. One b 1795 m Samual Smith and another b 1835, no further info on. Let me know if I can be of any help. Lynda Dodenhoff Leeds researching Fisk, Gaw, Hood, Morgan, Rutledge in VA, NC, SC, TN. Would like to share any information that anyone might have on these people: John Calvin Watkins - b. VA, 1770 Jane Webb Watkins - b. VA, 1779 They were in SC (area unknown) in 1800-01; a daughter, possibly two born there. THANKS! Mary Watkins Jackson

I believe you are correct about Edgefield District, but I have never been able to pin it down, keep me appraised if you are able to find more than I was able. Hello All, I got a copy of an audited account for Rev. War service for Robert Green, hoping he is my Robert Green son of Isaac Green (Isaac Green died 1772 in what was then St. Mark's Parish, Craven Co, SC, later Old Sumter) The copies are very faded and very hard to read but it looks as though he served under Capt. Robert Carathers/Carithers/Caruthers and Col. Robert Anderson (both of 96th District). Robert Green signed over his indent to a David McCloskey Aug 1787 Anyone working on this Robert Green by chance or know anything about him? Thanks, Audrey
Hi Audrey, I had my 4th great grandfather James Letcher that fought with Col. Robert Anderson. He joined at the fall of Charleston and was killed some time before May of 1783. I have never been able to find what battles he fought in or where he was killed. If you run up on any of this info please let me know. Thank You, Bob Campbell Birmingham, AL ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, September 11, 2003 3:33 PM Subject: [Abbeville] Robert Green > Hello All, > I got a copy of an audited account for Rev.
