I am descended from Rev. John HARRIS, a Presbyterian minister born in 1725. His son, John HARRIS II, married Mary PICKENS, daughter of General Andrew PICKENS and Rebecca CALHOUN, which makes the PICKENS and CALHOUN also my ancestors. I am also descended from Archibald THOMPSON and Felix McDONALD who lived here before moving to Illinois. I am also related to the ABNEY family in this area, and my husband descends from the family of John GORMAN. Kay
